Who am I?
Hello. My name is Anthony Nguyen and I've been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO) since 2013. The journey into this profession has been super rewarding thus far. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from York University and a diploma from the prestigious Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto. But more importantly, I've served my time in an array of health and wellness centers, multidisciplinary rehabilitation facilities and medical-spas while concurrently building my home and mobile practice. As of late 2021, I'm proud to announce that all of my therapeutic efforts are now solely available at my home practice locations (Mississauga & Niagara falls), as well as a mobile therapy service to most of the Greater Toronto Area.
What makes me unique?
1. Experienced Hands
The level of service that you're expecting is what I aim to demonstrate and surpass. I specialize in General Swedish Technique with application to all forms of cases and dysfunctions. Simply put, I'm well versed with the entire spectrum; from a focused treatment which tends to specific aches, pains and rehabilitation; to the classic general relaxation which aims to reduce overall body tension/stress and sooth your body and mind. These are well versed hands that you can trust.
2. Excellent Communication
The best massages are ones that check all your boxes – I'm very personable and encourage discussion and feedback before, during or after treatment. Just don’t get caught up in all the marketable labels that you see/hear, such as 'deep tissue', 'sports massage', 'pregnancy', etc., and request one of those styles based on a preconceived idea of what you think massage therapy is. You're more than welcome to talk to me and describe your case at each visit/consultation in order for us to create goals for the treatment or treatment plan. That being said, for those seeking pure relaxation; you won't hear much coming from me as I take you on a journey to rid yourself of all your unwanted stress and tension.
What's my goal?
Ultimately, my goal is to help you find balance in your health and help guide you towards lifestyle decisions that promotes a sense of wellness.
Pertaining to the field of health, I simply want to make a difference in people's lives and educate you on lifestyle choices. I know what it's like to be in pain or suffer from physical dysfunction. – I've spent years rehabilitating my own major injuries from competitive sports and repetitive strain in various workplace environments. I really do sympathize with anyone that has had a rough time trying to get back to their 'normal'.
Here's my advice, take care of your body. You only get one in this life. Your body is not like your car, which will be replaced several times during your lifetime. The mileage on your body actually matters. And just like you would maintain your car with maintenance, you should be doing so in your most valuable vehicle, your own body.
You're in good hands (pun intended),
Anthony Nguyen, BSc, RMT
